Don't worry, try one of these

Why do we love this case?

This is the kind of case that makes you stop mid-scroll and go, “Wait, WTF!?” We’re talking six of the most premium, iconic Barossa and McLaren Vale Shiraz we’ve got - all hanging out together in one legendary lineup.

You’ll find the bold powerhouses - Mitolo, Powell & Son and Schild Estate - flexing all that dark fruit and spice. Then the polished, old-vine indulgence of Fox Creek, St Hugo, and St Hallet rounds it out with class and balance.

This is South Aussie Shiraz royalty, bottled and boxed. Big flavour, serious pedigree, and that undeniable “how is this even real?” value. Strap in Mofo - this isn't you're average mixed case.

1x Schild Estate Three Springs Shiraz 2021

Red — Shiraz

Barossa — Australia

This particular vineyard, in the Rowland Flat area of the Barossa, sits at 380m above sea-level. At this altitude, Barossa vineyards traditionally produce much lower yields creating highly concentrated fruit of exceptional quality. From the first whiff it's quite apparent, this is a really smart wine. A perfumed nose of the expected dark fruits with floral elements of rose petal and violets. On the palate, juicy plums, dark chocolate, pepper, spice and, of course, a long, smooth, oak-driven finish. This drop is as intense as it is complex and will continue to impress for many years to come. Very, very impressive.

You'd pay $180 full price.

1x Mitolo Savitar Shiraz 2021

Red — Shiraz

McLaren Vale — Australia

Wonderfully textured, the wine is built around a long mineral acidity which carries intensity through the palate. White pepper, cedar and elegant allspice notes linger throughout the lengthy, linear finish. Matured for 20 months in 85% new French, 5% New American and 10% Seasoned French Oak hogshead barrels - drink it now or dig a hole in your backyard and forget about it. You could age this one for 15 years if you wanted but we're willing to bet you won't be able to keep your hands off it for that long!

You'd pay $105 full price.

1x St Hallett Sacred Ground Shiraz 2022

Red — Shiraz

Barossa — Australia

There is no mistaking a St Hallett classic - when it comes to shiraz, and when it comes to Barossa, they don't muck about. The Sacred Ground is an old favourite among the 'big and bold' faithful, and this iteration is no departure from that well earned reputation. Rich, ripe, chocolate, earthy and opulent. Little hints of cedar and tobacco sit deftly around determined, full throttle fruit density. St Hallett at their best - unashamedly broad and imposing while remaining stylish, complex, and relinquishing no ground when it comes to sophistication.

You'd pay $95 full price.

1x St Hugo Southern Valley Shiraz 2016

Red — Shiraz

Barossa — Australia

From the southern end of the Valley floor, this is single-vineyard Barossa shiraz at its most generous. It's no surprise, this was created by a 5-star Halliday winery deemed "outstanding" and "regularly producing wines of exemplary quality and typicity". And this particular wine? 95 Halliday. Just as expected. Big, sure, but there's so much more to this gorgeous shiraz. This is a wine that epitomises the distinctive red fruit characteristics of the southern end of the Barossa Valley, where (comparatively) cooler conditions and specific soil profiles create shiraz with a slightly more malleable personality than most - putting the winemaker in full charge of the wine from start to finish. Rich and generous with vibrant red fruits dominating the profile, this delivers the power you expect from quality Barossa fruit without losing elegance or drinkability. We're already a decade into this wine's journey and it's singing like a church choir on Christmas eve - you could wait a little longer if you want, but they'd be like opening your Christmas presents on Boxing Day... no need to wait!

You'd pay $80 full price.

1x Powell & Son The Blend Shiraz 2021

Red — Shiraz

Barossa — Australia

We'll make this clear - this is the last time you'll ever see this wine. They simply don't make it anymore - now or never Mofo! Just when we thought Powell & Sons couldn’t impress us more, they raised the bar higher than it’s ever been before. This seems to good to be true, right? We’re pinching ourselves too: it’s not every day that you get the best sub-regions of the Barossa (Marananga playing a big part of that), with the fruit of each vineyard separately nurtured and carefully blended after 18 months ageing in French oak. The name says it all, but this isn’t just any blend: it’s the king of blends. All shiraz. All star fruit. All the best oak. All in one neat little parcel. If this doesn’t tickle your fancy, truly nothing will.

You'd pay $80 full price.

1x Fox Creek Old Vine Shiraz 2021

Red — Shiraz

McLaren Vale — Australia

When we say old vines, we mean OLD vines - these gnarly bad-boys have been pumping out unbelievable wines since before ww1, planted in 1910! When you get fruit like that in the hands of winemakers like this - trust us, you'll know this mob - the results take care of themselves. This is one of out favourite shiraz drops for a long time. Don't miss out! This is no shrinking violet - it’s an unapologetically plush, full-bodied red built to impress the big-shiraz faithful. Think dark fruit liqueur meets espresso and plum sauce, with waves of chocolate, clove, date and anise all rolling in like a flavour parade. It’s rich, velvety and just this side of decadent, but not without brains. There’s iron and bay leaf cutting through, adding a savoury edge that keeps it from tipping into syrupy territory. Then the finish hits - long, dark and insanely deep - leaving you both satisfied and curious for another glass. This is a wine for the loyal McLaren Vale shiraz-heads. The ones who don’t apologise for loving flavour, weight and a bit of drama in their glass. If that’s you, clear some space in the decanter.

You'd pay $75 full price.

Frequently Asked Questions

This isn't your typical mixed case - it's a curated selection of South Australia's most prestigious Shiraz producers from the legendary Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale regions. Each wine represents decades of winemaking heritage, with some featuring old vines that produce incredibly concentrated fruit. The collection spans different sub-regions and winemaking philosophies, giving you a masterclass in how terroir and technique shape Australia's most iconic grape variety.

While all are full-bodied Shiraz, each wine brings its own personality to the table. The powerhouses like Mitolo Savitar and Powell & Son deliver intense dark fruit with bold spice and chocolate notes, while the old-vine expressions from Fox Creek and St Hugo offer more refined complexity with layers of mocha, vanilla, and subtle earthiness. This diversity showcases how different vineyard sites and winemaking approaches can create vastly different expressions from the same grape variety.

These premium Shiraz wines are beautifully balanced between immediate enjoyment and long-term cellaring potential. The 2021-2022 vintages are drinking superbly now, showing vibrant fruit and well-integrated tannins, while the 2016 St Hugo demonstrates how gracefully these wines age. Full-bodied Shiraz from these renowned producers typically peak between 5-15 years, so you can enjoy some now and cellar others for special occasions.

The rich, full-bodied nature of these Shiraz wines makes them perfect partners for robust, flavourful dishes. Think slow-cooked lamb shanks, grilled ribeye steaks, or hearty beef stews that can match the wines' intensity. The spice notes in these wines also complement barbecued meats beautifully, while the dark chocolate and mocha flavours make them surprisingly good with aged hard cheeses or even dark chocolate desserts.

These regions represent the heart and soul of Australian Shiraz, with some of the world's oldest Shiraz vines dating back to the 1840s. The warm, dry climate and diverse soil types create ideal conditions for producing intensely flavoured, full-bodied wines with exceptional concentration. Many of the vineyards in this collection feature old vines that naturally restrict yields, resulting in grapes with incredible depth and complexity that simply can't be replicated in younger plantings.
