This isn’t your everyday French bubbly bubbly - this is Champagne. It’s a proper piece of terroir from the famed Vallée de la Marne, aged 36 months on lees to peak flavour. Made from the classic Champagne trio - pinot meunier, chardonnay and pinot noir - it’s elegant, balanced and layered, without ever feeling precious or thin. Fantastic stuff.

Why do we love this wine?

Crafted by a fifth-generation family estate that’s taken sustainability very seriously (HVE and VDC certified) they even keep hives in their vineyards to promote biodiversity. This cuvée walks the line between gourmet and grounded. On the eye, it’s a delicate golden glow with fine bubbles that'll be sure to brighten up any table. The nose is refined and precise - white florals, a hint of apricot, generous red-fruit depth and a peach-like ripeness. The palate delivers crisp generosity: think crunchy red berries, a mineral undercurrent, a structured body and a long, lingering finish. In short: this is the good stuff. If you're looking for something really, really, really special, your search is over.

Frequently Asked Questions

Robert Allait holds both HVE (High Environmental Value) and VDC (Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne) certifications, representing the highest standards of environmental stewardship in French winemaking. The estate goes beyond typical sustainable practices by maintaining beehives directly in their vineyards, which promotes biodiversity and supports natural pollination cycles. This holistic approach to viticulture not only protects the environment but often results in healthier vines and more expressive wines, as the ecosystem remains balanced and thriving.

While many Champagnes are light and delicate, this Cuvée Prestige showcases a full-bodied profile that delivers more weight and intensity on the palate. The structured body comes from extended lees contact and careful blending techniques that build complexity and richness. This style bridges the gap between elegant aperitif Champagnes and more substantial wines that can pair beautifully with richer foods like roasted poultry or creamy cheeses. The mineral undercurrent and long finish indicate serious winemaking that prioritises depth over simple refreshment.

NV stands for 'Non-Vintage', meaning this Champagne is a blend of wines from multiple years rather than a single harvest. This traditional approach allows Champagne houses to maintain their signature house style year after year, using reserve wines from previous vintages to create consistency and complexity. Master blenders can draw upon the best characteristics of different years, balancing the freshness of younger wines with the depth and maturity of older reserves. For Robert Allait, this multi-vintage approach helps achieve that perfect balance between 'gourmet and grounded' character.

The combination of white florals and apricot with generous red-fruit depth reflects the complex blending typical of premium Champagne production. This likely includes a portion of Pinot Noir and possibly Pinot Meunier (the red grape varieties of Champagne) alongside Chardonnay, creating layers of both delicate white fruit and richer red berry notes. The red fruit character also develops through extended ageing on lees, where the wine gains complexity and deeper flavours. This interplay between white and red fruit elements is a hallmark of well-crafted Champagne that offers both immediate appeal and evolving complexity.

These gold medals from two prestigious international competitions demonstrate exceptional quality recognition by expert wine judges. The Concours de Lyon is one of France's most respected wine competitions, while the International Wine Challenge is considered the world's most rigorous wine competition, with a particularly demanding judging process. Winning gold at both events indicates this Champagne consistently performs at the highest level across different judging panels and criteria. Combined with the 4.0 Vivino rating from consumer reviews, this represents both professional acclaim and popular appeal - a rare combination that validates the wine's quality across all levels of wine appreciation.
