Why do we love this wine?

Lightly tropical, more vibrant than a basket full of fruit and crisply acidic for a clean finish - this is a bottle of bubbles worth celebrating. To bring this award-winning prosecco to life the Twin Valleys crew sourced fruit from both the King and Alpine Valleys and the result is a well-balanced drop that dances with melon, lemon and even a hint of jasmine. Sam Kim from Wine Orbit awarded it 93pts and hailed it as splendidly fruited and immediately approachable. And we couldn't agree more. At its best from now until 2026 and perfect for celebrate a new year, a new job or just a new weekend!

Wine Pilot

Wine Pilot

A pure, bright and controlled expression. Green apple skin, pear, tonic, white florals, lemon zest and a barely - there nutty nuance. The palate is bone dry and has a nice bounce about it. A delicate prickling of bubbles dances among the pear, lemon rind, and green apple notes within a lovely pillowy texture before a clean and balanced finish drenched in the apple skin bitterness. Refreshing, restrained, and eminently drinkable at a good price. Nicely done. - Tom Kline, Wine Pilot

Frequently Asked Questions

This Australian prosecco showcases the unique terroir of the King and Alpine Valleys, producing a distinctly tropical character that sets it apart from traditional Italian styles. The cooler climate conditions in these Victorian regions allow for extended ripening, resulting in more vibrant acidity and complex fruit flavours like melon and jasmine notes. While Italian prosecco often emphasises citrus and floral elements, this Twin Valleys expression brings a more exotic, fruit-forward profile that reflects Australia's diverse winemaking landscape.

This prosecco is designed for immediate enjoyment and optimal drinking through 2026, which is typical for most sparkling wines made in the tank method. Unlike traditional method sparkling wines that can age for decades, prosecco's fresh, vibrant character is best appreciated while young when the tropical fruit flavours and crisp acidity are at their peak. The wine's medium body and balanced structure will maintain its quality for the next couple of years, but it's crafted to celebrate life's moments now rather than wait in the cellar.

The tropical fruit profile and crisp acidity make this prosecco incredibly versatile with food, particularly excelling with fresh seafood like oysters, prawns, or sashimi where the bubbles cleanse the palate. The melon and lemon notes complement soft cheeses, antipasto platters, and Asian cuisine with its balance of sweet and savoury elements. Its medium body can also handle richer dishes like creamy pasta or roasted chicken, while the jasmine hints make it surprisingly good with spicy Thai or Vietnamese dishes.

Sam Kim's 93-point rating reflects the wine's exceptional balance between vibrant fruit expression and technical precision, particularly praising its 'splendid fruiting' and immediate approachability. The high score recognises how successfully Twin Valleys has captured the essence of prosecco while adding their own regional signature through the King and Alpine Valley fruit sourcing. This rating places it among premium Australian sparkling wines, acknowledging both the winemaking skill required to achieve such clean, dancing flavours and the wine's ability to deliver complexity without sacrificing drinkability.

The King Valley's elevation and cool climate create ideal conditions for sparkling wine production, with significant diurnal temperature variation that preserves natural acidity while allowing flavour development. This Victorian region has become renowned for its Italian varietals, including prosecco, due to its similar climate patterns to northern Italy but with distinctly Australian characteristics. The combination of King Valley fruit with Alpine Valley grapes in this blend demonstrates how Australian winemakers are using regional blending to create more complex, balanced sparkling wines that express the best of multiple terroirs.
