Pirramimma can't put a foot wrong. Full-bodied and fruit-focused with a super lengthy finish and a long life ahead of it. This is the kind of chardonnay everyone needs a case of in the cellar.

Why do we love this wine?
We don’t need to tell you about Pirramimma, do we? By now if you’re a regular of Vinomofo, we’re betting that you’ve tried a drop or two from this legendary winery. To say their red wines have been fan favourites would be to severely understate the cult following of this brand. Yes mofo, their white wines are truly as iconic as their reds. This is as abundant as you might expect (or crave), abound with notes of toast, crème brûlée, hazelnut and ripe peaches. If chardonnay is a red wine lover’s white, then this has got to be the one.

Ken Gargett
"The Heritage tag dates back to the 13th century and the early days of the family history. It is early days for this wine as well, of course, but 2024 is looking like another impressive vintage for McLaren Vale. Fermentation was with “a selection of French oak”. A gleaming yellow colour, we have attractive tropical notes here, delightfully fresh, with passionfruit and pineapple evident, along with a touch of stonefruits. There is a pleasing creamy texture and fine acidity through to a drying finish. A wine of medium length, we should see improvement over the next four to five years." - Ken Gargett

Ray Jordan
" A wine that provides compelling evidence that in the right conditions and year, McLaren Vale can turn out something special with a variety that it is not generally associated with. In this case a chardonnay. A little malolactic fermentation has brought texture and substance to the palate. White peach and melon with a subtle toasty background creates quite a wine for drinking in the short term. Cellar: 6 years" - Ray Jordan, Wine Pilot
